RamBase Cloud ERP release info - week 33

The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:

Production

New checkpoint in Work order operation (WOO) application

Classification: USEFUL

A new feature has been added to the approval process of Work order operations (WOO). The Start checkpoint has been added as an option to prevent Work order operations (WOO) from being started before the checkpoint has been completed. The Start checkpoint can be used in conjunction with the previously implemented hold point. Therefore, it is possible to set both a start checkpoint, to control when a Work order operation (WOO) can be started, and a hold point, to control when an operation is completed.

Rental

Daily earned revenue visibility

Classification: USEFUL

Two new columns have been added to the Rental contract (RCT) and Rental overview (RCS) applications. The Earned Rev./Day and Total net amount columns make it possible to track how revenue is earned on a daily basis.

Additionally, a new field, Converted earned daily revenue, has been added to the Rental contract (RCT) application. This field displays the sum of the Earned Rev./Day column.

Previously, rental quotes and contracts displayed only the total net amount for the full rental period and not the price or revenue earned per day for active rental and subscription contracts.

This update provides clearer visibility of the earned revenue for the current day, providing a better understanding of financial performance in real time.

Default dimension values on Accounts (ACC)

Classification: USEFUL

We are introducing a new enhancement for defining default values for all allowed dimensions directly on the General ledger account (ACC) in RamBase.

Previously, RamBase only supported a default value for a single dimension (Department) per General ledger account (ACC). For accounts using multiple dimensions, users therefore had limited support for defaulting and had to maintain additional dimension values on individual articles and sales types, which could increase maintenance effort and the risk of incorrect postings.

With this enhancement, users can:

  • Define default values for all allowed dimensions directly on an account

  • Have dimension values automatically suggested when transactions are posted to the account, including when the account is selected through Account default rules (ACD)

  • Allow manual overrides when needed

  • Ensure existing dimensions are not overwritten by default dimensions, regardless of whether the account is selected directly or through an Account default rule (ACD)

  • Reduce article-level maintenance and improve consistency in dimension coding

As part of this improvement, the existing Default department setting has been moved from the Settings tab to the Dimensions tab. Existing configurations are automatically migrated.

By enabling complete default dimension setups on accounts, RamBase provides a more efficient and scalable approach to dimension management while helping ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
