New design of the Inventory balances (INVBAL) application to make it easier to reconcile the GL accounts

Classification:  USEFUL

RamBase has removed some of the old columns and added one new column in the inventory balances application. The columns that are removed are:

  • Qty, Linked to productions

  • Qty, Backlog

  • Total Inventory Qty

These columns are removed as they did not give the user any useful insight.

RamBase has added one column for Inventory balance (INVBAL), which gives the following columns in the new INVBAL application:

  • CUR - Currency.

  • Backlog - Amount of inventory that are linked to any sales document, or production order, yet to be picked.

  • Inventory Total - Total value of all inventory (Inventory Balance + Picked to Production)

  • Picked to Production - Value of inventory that are picked to production orders. This is part of the material value in Production work order balance (PWBAL).

  • Inventory Balance - Value of inventory that has been received to stock and is yet to be shipped or picked to production. This value can be reconciled against the GL accounts for inventory.

RamBase has also improved the view when you choose Group By: Class. In this view you can now see the inventory values split on Finished Products and Materials, in addition to the separate classes. This should make it easier to reconcile the GL if you have decided to split the inventory import in finished products and materials.
