Enhanced Quality control triggers (QCT)
Classification: USEFUL
We’re introducing several improvements to Quality control triggers (QCT) in RamBase to ensure more consistent and complete quality control across Purchase order item (SPOITEM) flows, article types, and configurations.
Quality control triggers (QCT) for Supplier returns (SRT) Quality control is now extended to items returning from suppliers. Previously, Quality control triggers (QCT) was only executed for goods received through a Purchase order (SPO) flow, which meant returned items from Supplier returns (SRT) could re-enter stock without triggering inspection.
This has now been improved so that when a Goods reception (SSA) is created from an Supplier return (SRT), the system will evaluate existing Quality control triggers (QCT) configuration (Product, Supplier, Location, etc.). If a matching rule is found, a quality control notification is automatically created. This ensures returned items are treated with the same level of quality control as purchased items, without requiring a Purchase order (SPO) workaround.
Quality control triggers (QCT) for external work (WX) articles Quality control is now also enabled for external work (WX) articles used in subcontracting flows. Previously, WX articles were excluded from Quality control triggers (QCT), which could result in Goods reception (SSA) transactions being registered without required inspections or documentation checks.
With this update, WX articles can now be included in Quality control triggers (QCT) configuration. During Purchase order (SPO) registration, the system evaluates Quality control triggers (QCT) rules based on Product (ART), Supplier (SUP), and Location (LOC), and creates a quality control notification when conditions are met. This ensures that inspections and required approvals are enforced as intended.
Improved visibility of Quality control triggers (QCT) in Product (ART) The Inbound QC Triggers tab in the Product (ART) application has been improved. Previously, it only displayed Quality control triggers (QCT) where a specific product or product classification was defined in the filter. It now also includes Quality control triggers (QCT) without any product or classification filters, as these are valid for all products. This provides better visibility of all applicable quality control rules directly from the product view.
Together, these improvements ensure that quality control is applied more consistently across the full Product lifecycle, not just within Purchase order (SPO) flows. This reduces the risk of uninspected goods entering stock, improves compliance, and removes the need for manual workarounds such as creating Purchase order (SPO) for returns.
