RamBase Cloud ERP release info - week 2

The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:

Sales

New setting to consolidate note to customer from Sales orders (COA) to Shipping advice (CSA)

Classification: USEFUL

A new Company setting (CSV): Consolidate Note to customer in sales order to shipping advice, is now available.

When this setting is enabled, and multiple Sales orders (COA) are forwarded to the same shipping advice (CSA), the Note from customer from each sales order will be forwarded and concatenated into the Note to customer field in the Shipping advice (CSA).

In the Shipping advice (CSA), the consolidated note will clearly indicate which part of the content originates from each sales order, ensuring traceability and clarity for customer communication.

Procurement

Maximum stock impact on suggested purchase quantity in the Requirements overview (REO) application

Classification: USEFUL

When calculating the suggested Purchase quantity in the Requirements overview (REO) application, the Maximum stock setting in the Product (ART) application may be taken into consideration if the product is set up with a Reorder point.

When a product is set up with a Reorder point, the system determines the suggested purchase quantity using the following logic:

  • If Reorder quantity is defined
The system uses the Reorder quantity as the suggested purchase quantity for replenishment.
  • If Reorder quantity is not defined, but Maximum stock is defined
The system calculates the suggested purchase quantity as:
    Maximum stock – Effective stock
  • If neither Reorder quantity nor Maximum stock is defined
The system calculates the suggested purchase quantity as:
    Reorder point – Effective stock

This logic ensures that the suggested purchase quantities in REO reflect both defined stock limits and expected incoming quantities, supporting more accurate replenishment planning.

Improved reorder point calculation

Classification: USEFUL

The calculation of product shortages based on the reorder point has been improved to provide more accurate purchase suggestions.

Previously, shortages were calculated using the following formula:Reorder point – Available stock.

This calculation has now been updated to also include expected incoming quantities within the product lead time. The new calculation is:

Reorder point – Effective stock

Effective stock includes:

  • Available stock
    • Available quantity in Goods Reception (SSA) items
  • Available purchase backlog expected to be received within lead time, including:
    • Available quantity in Purchase Order Response (SOA) items with a confirmed delivery date within lead time
    • Available quantity in Purchase Order Response (SOA) items with no confirmed delivery date but a requested delivery date within lead time
    • Available quantity in Purchase Order (SPO) items with a requested delivery date within lead time

This updated calculation ensures that incoming purchase quantities expected within lead time are taken into account, reducing unnecessary purchase recommendations.

The change is reflected in the suggested purchase quantities in the following applications:

  • Product (ART) application, Requirement plan tab
  • Requirements overview (REO) application
