We are pleased to introduce the new Quality control triggers (QCT) application that enables flexible configuration of what should trigger quality control for incoming deliveries. This release represents a significant improvement in how quality control requirements are defined and applied in the inbound goods process.
The primary change is the introduction of a new configuration mechanism, allowing quality control requirements to be defined earlier and more precisely than before.
A key difference compared to the current process is that requirements for quality control can now be applied already on the purchase order, instead of waiting until Goods reception (SSA), as is the case today.
Key improvements:
A new application for configuring quality control rules for incoming deliveries
Flexible rule setup based on one or more of the following:
Location
Supplier
Product
Product groups
Support for supplier-based quality control rules without any reference to Product (ART)
For example, quality control can be triggered for specific suppliers depending on which products are purchased from them
Automatic triggering of quality control requirements when configured rules are fulfilled
Support for manual quality control requirements when automatic rules are not triggered
Improved visibility of quality control requirements throughout the incoming goods flow
These changes provide a more proactive, flexible, and scalable approach to quality control of incoming goods, enabling earlier identification of requirements and better alignment with operational needs.
Note!
This release includes a migration from an existing data structure to a new structure. During the deployment and migration period, users who are actively working in the system may experience temporary disturbances in the ordinary approval process for Goods reception items (SSAITEMS).
We recommend avoiding critical approval activities related to Goods reception (SSA) during the release window where possible. Normal operation will resume once the migration and release process is completed.
