The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:
Procurement
Timestamps from Arriving waybill (WBI) is available in the Procurement backlog management (PBM) application
Classification: USEFUL
Information on estimated and actual delivery times from the Arriving waybill (WBI) is now available as columns in the Procurement backlog management (PBM) application. Users can view the following fields as columns:
Estimated Time of Departure
Estimated Time of Arrival
Actual Time of Departure
Actual Time of Arrival
This enhancement provides better visibility into critical supply chain timelines, enabling users to more effectively track deliveries and follow up on supplier backlogs.
Two new settings available in the Project order (POD) application
Classification: USEFUL
We’re pleased to introduce two new settings for the Project order (POD) application that ensure all required information is captured before moving forward. These settings help prevent users from continuing if essential information is missing, improving both accuracy and efficiency.
New Company settings (CSV):
Department is mandatory for project order (POD)
When enabled, this setting requires a department to be specified at both the POD item and main levels.
Project is mandatory for project order (POD)
When enabled, this setting requires a finance project to be specified at both the POD item and main levels.
These improvements support better data integrity and streamline the project ordering workflow.
Production
Production: Improved Wastage Handling in Manufacturing Classification: IMPORTANT
We’ve enhancing how wastage is calculated in Production structures (KITDOC) to improve accuracy in material planning and cost estimation.
Background
In manufacturing, wastage typically occurs in two forms:
Startup Wastage: Fixed quantity lost at the beginning of each production run.
Running Wastage: Percentage-based loss relative to the produced quantity.
Previously, RamBase only applied the fixed wastage quantity when both types were specified, leading to inaccurate planning and tracking.
Problem
Percentage-based wastage was ignored, even when entered.
This caused incorrect inventory reservations, purchasing decisions, and cost estimations.
Additionally, incorrect wastage linking occurred after splitting a Production work order (PWO) without starting Work order operations (WOO).
Solution
The system now:
Includes both fixed and percentage-based wastage in total quantity calculations when both are specified in the Production structure (KITDOC).
Correctly handles wastage during Production work order (PWO) splits, even if no Work order operations (WOO) have started and all materials are picked.
Key Behavior
More accurate material consumption tracking.
Improved inventory planning and reduced risk of shortages or overstock.
Better cost estimation for production runs of varying sizes.
