Rental

Stay ahead of Quote Expiration Dates
Classification: USEFUL

We’ve introduced a helpful enhancement to the Rental contract (RCT) application to better support tracking and follow-up of your rental or subscription quotes. This feature helps your team stay proactive and keep revenue opportunities from slipping away.

What’s New?

A new Company setting (CSV) lets you configure warnings for quotes nearing their expiration date.

  • When enabled, quotes will automatically update to Status 6 – Near Expirationwhen reaching the defined number of days before the expiration date.

  • This helps your team act in time to convert quotes into orders and avoid missed opportunities.

You’ll also find a new standard filter in the Rental overview (RCS) application to easily locate contracts with quotes near expiration.

Where to Find It
Enable the setting from the RamBase menu, by going to Admin → Overview → Settings → Company Settings → Rental → Order Handling.
Then locate the setting: Rental Contract Quote Expiration Date Warning

Use the new filter:
In the Rental overview (RCS) application, click the Filter Builder icon and select:
Containing quotes near expiration.

Good to Know

  • If the setting is enabled and the value provided in the setting is “5”, the quote will be set in Status 6 - Near expiration five (5) days prior to the Expiration date, and when the date has passed forwarded to Status 7 - Rejected.

  • If the setting is disabled, the quote will automatically be set in Status 7 - Rejected, when the Expiration date has passed. Quotes will not be flagged as near expiration.

  • If the setting is enabled and the value provided in the setting is “0”, the quote will be set in Status 6 - Near expiration on Expiration date, and when the date has passed forwarded to Status 7 - Rejected.

Logistics

New Company setting (CSV) for Supplier Return (SRT) Efficiency

Classification:  USEFUL

We’re introducing a new setting to streamline the process of creating Supplier returns (SRT). This enhancement helps ensure that enough quantity is available for Supplier return items (SRTITEM) by automatically de-linking assignments from other orders when necessary.

What’s New?

A new company setting is now available:

Company setting (CSV):
Automatically remove assignments to create supplier return if not enough available quantity

Description:
When enabled, this setting will automatically remove assignments to Sales orders (COA) and Production work orders (PWO) if there isn’t enough available quantity to fulfill a Supplier return (SRT). These assignments will instead be marked as PENDING.

How It Works:

  • Only assignments not yet picked and not locked will be removed.

  • Assignments to Sales orders (COA) in Status 1 - Pending registration will not be removed.

  • Removal priority is based on Scheduled shipping date (LINKDELDATE) in descending order — meaning assignments furthest out in time are removed first.

Benefits:

  • Reduces manual work when preparing Supplier returns (SRT).

  • Ensures Supplier return items (SRTITEM) are fulfilled more efficiently.

  • Maintains control by only adjusting eligible assignments.
