RamBase Cloud ERP release info - week 13

The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:

Improved visibility in Project order item (PODITEM)

Classification: USEFUL

We’ve added a new feature to Project order item (PODITEM). The Cost and price area can now be collapsed, displaying only the total values. This enhancement allows users to view more work log records for items of category Hours in the grid below—especially beneficial for those using lower-resolution screens.

New context menu options to recalculate planned cost for Product structures (KITART) and Production structures (KITDOC)

Classification:  USEFUL

Production resources are set up, maintained and listed in the Production resources (RESCONFIG) application. Changes to the hourly rates of Production resources (RESCONFIG) will naturally impact the planned cost for both Product structures (KITART) and Production structures (KITDOC), including all parent structures.

To keep the planned costs updated and accurate, we are now providing users with two new Context menu options, available from the Production resources (RESCONFIG) application:

  • Recalculate cost on production work orders (PWO)

    • Use this option to recalculate the planned cost for relevant Production work orders (PWO), in Status 4 or lower, based on changes to hourly rates. If a sub Production structure (KTIDOC) is recalculated, then the parent is continuously recalculated until the top level Production structure (KITDOC) is reached.

  • Recalculate cost for products (ART)

    • Use this option to recalculate the planned cost for relevant Products (ART) based on changes to hourly rates. If a sub Product structure (KTIART) is recalculated, then the parent is continuously recalculated until the top level Product structure (KITART) is reached.

    • Note that recalculations is only done for Production work orders (PWO) in Status 4 or below.

Set default Serial number templates (SNT) for batch and unit productions

Classification:  USEFUL

The Serial number templates (SNT) application is used to specify the numbering scheme of serial numbers for your products. The serial numbers can be generated with various combinations of date formats, free text, user defined sequences and even fields from RamBase.

Previously, we did not have functionality to assign separate default Serial Number Templates (SNT), explicitly for unit and batch production.

We are now introducing multiple options in how you can clearly distinguish serial numbers for different production scenarios, leading to clear traceability and documentation.

Introducing two new child settings of the Use SNT Archive for Serial Number, Company setting (CSV):

  • Default serial number template for batch production

  • Default serial number template for unit production

Serial number templates identifiers (SNT) can be set on each of these to define your defaults for either batch or unit productions.

We are also adding two new Context menu options in the Serial number templates (SNT) application:

  • Set as default for batch productions

  • Set as default for unit productions

These options will allow the user to efficiently decide defaults in a context where the setup of the relevant Serial number template (SNT) is available. If a Serial number template (SNT) is set as default it will also be noted with a new icon in the description field, as well as in the header.

It is useful to know that if a default template is changed or replaced, in the Serial number template (SNT) or in the Company settings (CSV), it will automatically be updated in the corresponding setting or template.

If your company has already activated the Use SNT Archive for SerialNumber, Company setting (CSV), your current default Serial number template (SNT) will automatically be converted to apply for both unit and batch productions.
