RamBase Cloud ERP release info - week 3

The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:

Logistics

Enhanced supply chain visibility and collaboration with the re-designed Arriving waybills (WBI) application

Classification:  IMPORTANT

The Arriving waybill (WBI) application contains critical information about shipment contents, senders and recipients details, addresses, the point of origin, intended routes and estimated times of departure and arrivals.

We have now further enhanced the application in several areas to increase traceability and visibility into the goods in transit.

To accommodate these enhancements, a re-design of the Arriving waybill (WBI) application has been done along with related changes in the Receive goods (RPP) and Purchase order response (SOA) applications.

Listed below are the key benefits in this update:

  • The Arriving waybill (WBI) application has been re-designed allowing for a smoother workflow as critical details are always visible while details are logically categorized into the new tabs: Expected goods, Received goods and Shipments and customsdetails.

  • Purchaser order response items (SOAITEM) can be added to an Arriving waybill (WBI) as an expectation of what’s in transit from the supplier.

    • The Arriving waybill identifier (WBI) will be linked and referenced in the Purchase order response item (SOAITEM) application, in the new field Expected arriving waybill.

  • New date fields are available in the Arriving waybills (WBI) application allowing the addition of information about Estimated time of delivery, Actual time of delivery, Estimated time of arrival and Actual time of arrival.

    • This information will also be referenced and available as columns in the Purchase order response item (SOAITEM) application.

  • When in the process of creating Goods receptions (SSA), it will be possible to multi-select Purchase order items (SPOITEM) and Purchase order response items (SOAITEM) in the Receive goods (RPP) application, even if the document identifier is not the same.

  • Multi-select will be supported when registering Goods receptions (SSA) received in a specific Arriving waybill (WBI).

  • Navigating directly to the carrier's tracking web site can now be done from the Arriving waybill (WBI) application.

Enhanced information access in the SARC application

Classification: USEFUL

We are pleased to announce an update to the SARC application, which is used for re-assigning goods to sales documents such as Sales order (COA), Shipping advice (CSA) and Supplier return (SRT).

What’s New?

Users will now have access to the detailed Material Quality Information field, as well as the Internal Quality Note field, both from Goods reception items (SSAITEM), directly within the SARC application.

These enhancements offer clearer insights for greater efficiency.

Production

Reschedule Production work orders (PWO) and linked sub productions when the initial Sales order (COA) is updated

Classification:  USEFUL

We are now expanding our options to update critical production dates, if there are changes made in the initial Sales order (COA), resulting in an increase of the quality and accuracy of the production plan.

Changes have been made to the following Company settings (CSV):

  • Reschedule production work order when sales order delivery is reconfirmed
  • Sub Production Update On Time Change

Enabling these settings ensures that corrections made to the requested delivery date in a Sales order (COA) is connected all way down, including potential sub Production work orders (PWO).

Rescheduling of linked Production work orders (PWO) can be triggered by changing the Requested delivery date in a Sales order (COA) by forwarding to a new Sales order (COA).

  • But what if multiple Sales orders (COA) are linked to a single Production work order (PWO)?

The Requested completion dates in Production work orders (PWO) are updated to reflect the Sales order (COA) with the earliest Shipping date.

  • But what if a single Sales order (COA) is linked to multiple Production work orders (PWO)?

If a single Sales order (COA) is linked to multiple Production work orders (PWO), the Requested completion dates in all the Production work orders (PWO) are updated to reflect the Requested delivery date from the Sales order (COA).

  • But what if there is a need to change the dates in the top level Production work order (PWO) in the Production work order (PWO) application?

If the Company setting (CSV) - Sub Production Update On Time Change is enabled, changing the dates for a top level Production work order (PWO), examples being Scheduled start date or Scheduled end date, will also update the dates for the linked sub Production work orders (PWO).

New column and logic to increase flexibility and efficiency in the Work order operations (WOO) application

Classification:  USEFUL

The Work order operations (WOO) application supports the operator in performing Operations (OPR) and picking the necessary parts and material to meet your customers high expectations.

Whether producing simple or complex structures, changes to the Production structure (KITDOC) might be required. Previously, we only supported the change of actually consumed quantity for consumption parts. And accessing this functionality also required the operator to spend time navigate away from the Work order operations (WOO) application.

We are now revising these areas of improvement by integrating new functionality in the Materials tab by introducing the Used qty column and improving the integrated Pick (PICK) logic.

Used qty details

  • The Used qty indicates the quantity used, as changed and specified by the operator.

  • This column is used to make changes to the Production structure (KITDOC) by changing the quantity used per part, not limited to consumption parts.

  • To edit, click the Edit used qty icon in the Actions column.

  • If the Used qty column has been changed, and part is picked, then RamBase will automatically try to adjust picking from existing links to Goods reception (SSA) and Stock location (STL).

    • If that is not possible, an error message will be displayed and the user is advised to Undo picking, and then continue editing the Used qty.

  • Traceability list on Product unit (LCM) may need to be adjusted, due to the change in Used qty.

Improved Pick (PICK) logic in the Materials tab

  • If the product or material is only linked to one (1) Goods reception (SSA) and only one (1) Stock location (STL), the Goods reception (SSA) will be picked without forwarding the user to the Pick (PICK) application.

    • If the product or material is linked to two (2) or more Goods receptions (SSA), or placed in two (2) or more Stock locations (STL), the user will be forwarded to the Pick (PICK) application to specify which Goods reception (SSA) to pick and/or which Stock location (STL) to pick from.

Retirement of Office 365 Webhook connector for Microsoft Teams requires update of URL in the Automated flow (FLW) application

Classification:  USEFUL

The Automated flows (FLW) application allows users to build simple, yet effective notification systems.

Due to Microsoft’s retirement of webhook connectors for Office 365, and transition to webhook connectors for Workflows, we strongly recommend that you update your connector immediately to prevent any disruption of your automated work flow.

In the Automated flow (FLW) application, webhook connectors for Automated flows (FLW) in Status 4 - Active, can be updated by using the Open for edit option in the Context menu and then updating the Incoming Webhook Uri field.
