Improve deviation handling by rearranging assignments to create Stock corrections (SAW)

Classification: USEFUL

We are introducing the new Company setting (CSV) - Automatically remove assignments to create stock correction if not enough available quantity to further improve the functionality to identify any discrepancies between recorded inventory levels and the physical stock on hand.

This new setting allows the creation of a Stock correction (SAW), even if there is no available quantity for the Goods reception item (SSAITEM).

The assignments linked to Sales orders (COA) and/or Production work orders (PWO) with the latest Scheduled shipping date (LINKDELDATE)will be removed first, to free up quantity to create a Stock correction (SAW).

Rule clarification:

  • If the setting is enabled, assignments will be removed from Sales orders (COA) and Production work orders (PWO) and rather assigned to PENDING instead.

  • This will only apply if picking has not been confirmed and the Sales orders (COA) and/or Production work orders (PWO) are unlocked.

  • Assignments to a Sales order (COA) in Status 1 - Pending registration will not be removed.

  • The priority of the assignments to be removed will be set according to the Scheduled shipping date (LINKDELDATE), sorted in descending order.
