Rambase release info - week 1

These changes have been rolled out in RamBase in the past week:

Sales

Lead time calculator

Classification: USEFUL

The Calculate Lead Time function, accessible from both Sales quotes (CQU) and Sales orders (COA), serves the purpose of determining the earliest possible delivery date by assessing stock availability. This functionality primarily evaluates stock availability and generates a calculated delivery date accordingly.

Enhancements have been implemented to enhance user experience, improving the structure and accessibility of information. Additionally, the scope of the calculation has been extended. The initial release is considered as a Minimum viable product, with further improvements planned for the upcoming period.

The primary goal is to streamline order fulfillment by providing users with information about product availability for delivery. This assists in making commitments to customers based on the ability to produce, while considering procurement and production lead times.

Production

View Production resource capacity and load (RCL) from relevant applications
Classification: USEFUL

The Production resource capacity and load (RCL) application is a visualization tool used to view production resources’ capacity and load information.

RamBase has now added the option of efficiently viewing that information from relevant applications:

  • Production resource categories (REC)
  • List of work order operations for production resource categories (RECWOO)
  • Production resources (RESCONFIG)
  • Operators list of production work order operations (RWOO)

The function can be found in the context menu by selecting the View capacity and load option.

Finance

Bloomberg is no longer used as a currency source in RamBase

Classification: IMPORTANT

As Bloomberg no longer serves as a currency source in RamBase, customers using Bloomberg as their primary or secondary currency have been switched to alternative sources. The new source for currency exchange rates was selected based on the country code of each company's database. For instance, for Norway (NO), the primary source is now Norges Bank, and the secondary source is Xignite, our new currency exchange rate provider.

For customers that have not already initiated the adjustment, this was done automatically on January 1.
