RamBase release info - week 45

These changes have been rolled out in RamBase in the past week:

Production

File type added to Measurements (MSR)

Classification: USEFUL

When creating a new definition in the Measurements (MSR) application, it is now possible to add file type from the new File type drop-down menu.

When a definition has a chosen file type, it is inherited by templates. This means that the file type will be automatically set when creating a measurement report from the template.

It is possible to set file type for existing templates and measurement reports without a set file type. If no file type is chosen when a measurement report is created, MSR will be the default file type.

Finance

Custom fields available in the General ledger posting (ATR) application

Classification: USEFUL

Custom fields have now been introduced in the General ledger posting (ATR) application. Added custom fields are located in the new Custom fields tab in the General ledger posting area.

The custom fields may be activated as columns in the General ledger postings area by clicking the Column settings icon and selecting Include custom fields. As a result, it is possible to use custom fields to filter and to export information from custom fields to Excel.

QHSES

Coming: New version of the Quality issue (QIS) application

Classification: USEFUL

The Quality issue (QIS) application is soon to be introduced as two separate applications:

  • The Quality issue list (QIS) application and
  • The Quality issue details (QISD) application.

The reason for the split is to make the work on quality issues in RamBase more intuitive and user-friendly through an improved user interface. Users will still find all existing functions and features.

When entering the Quality issue list (QIS) application, users will see a list of quality issues and have extensive filtering options. Selecting a quality issue from the list will take the user to the issue in the Quality issue details (QISD) application.

The Quality issue details (QISD) application will have a clearer flow when working on issues in RamBase. It will also offer several options of how to navigate back and forth between the Analyzing and Take action part of the process. Users will also notice a new Summary area added to the right to give a quick and easy overview.

The mobile application will also be improved. It will be possible to add pictures and source data when creating a quality issue via the mobile application.

More information to come in the upcoming weeks.
