Finance: It will now be possible to add an inventory balance account to a product in the Product (ART) application

Today, the inventory balance is posted to GL accounts that are set up as default accounts in the Default accounts (ACD) application. Either Inventory Balance can be used for all products, or Inventory Balance for Parts and Inventory Balance Finished Products can be used to split balances based on type.


It will now be possible to set up an inventory balance account directly on a specific product. This can be done in the Product (ART) application by selecting the Finance account settings option in the context menu, and then selecting the new Inventory Balance Account icon in the Finance account settings application. 


It will also be possible to select Balance Account in the Group By field in the Inventory balances (INVBAL) application to see the totals for all products split by balance accounts.
