RamBase Cloud ERP release info - week 42

The following updates have been added to RamBase Cloud ERP:

Procurement

Improved classification options for Suppliers (SUP)

Classification: USEFUL

Three new classification fields, District, Sector, and Segment are now available under Settings in the Main data tab in the Supplier (SUP) application.

Companies can configure their own classification options for each field.

For reporting purposes, the District and Segment values are also automatically copied to purchase documents when they are created.

Rental

Flexible partial delivery of rental equipment

Classification: USEFUL

Users can now forward a lower quantity of available rental units to shipping advice when delivering rental equipment.

The available quantity is suggested by default, but users can enter a lower quantity when only part of the order is to be delivered. Any remaining quantity can be forwarded later.

The existing availability and allocation rules remain unchanged.

Finance

Automatic VAT posting for PERWAG transactions

Classification: IMPORTANT

We are introducing an enhancement to how automatic VAT postings are handled for transactions with transaction type PERWAG in RamBase.

Previously, the Company setting (CSV), Automatically create VAT posting when manual GL postings are registered, applied to General ledger postings (ATR) with transaction types other than PERWAG, as well as to imported General ledger postings (ATR).

With this enhancement, the automatic VAT posting logic is now controlled by two Company settings (CSV). Automatic creating of VAT posting on ATR is now based on the transaction type.

The following Company settings control the automatic creation of VAT postings:

  • Automatically create VAT postings for transactions except PERWAG – controls automatic VAT posting for General ledger postings (ATR) with transaction types other than PERWAG. This applies regardless of whether the General ledger postings (ATR) is created manually or through import.
  • Do not automatically create VAT postings for PERWAG transactions – controls automatic VAT posting for General ledger postings (ATR) with transaction type PERWAG. This applies regardless of whether the General ledger postings (ATR) is created manually or through import.

If Automatically create VAT postings for transactions except PERWAG is set to ON, VAT postings will be automatically created for General ledger postings (ATR) with transaction types other than PERWAG.

If Do not automatically create VAT postings for PERWAG transactions is set to ON, VAT postings will not be automatically created for General ledger postings (ATR) with transaction type PERWAG.

This means that PERWAG transactions are handled separately from other transaction types, regardless of whether the General ledger postings (ATR) is created manually or through import.

This enhancement provides clearer control over automatic VAT posting and ensures that the settings accurately reflect which transactions they apply to.

Product

Introducing the new Shared product (SPR) application

Classification: USEFUL

Shared Products is a solution that allows several companies within the same system to share Products (ART) through the Shared product (SPR) application.

Each company can decide which Products (ART) they want to share with other companies by publishing them. Likewise, companies can choose which products from other companies they want to use in their own company by subscribing to them.

Some key product fields, such as Name, Description, Weight, etc., are stored at shared product level and cannot be overwritten locally in Product (ART).

Requirements

To use the Shared Products solution, the companies must have synchronized sequence numbers in the Product (ART) archive. Companies that were established in RamBase before 1st of April 2025 do not have this synchronization.

In addition, the companies must have a common Manufacturer and Unit archive.

This is why the Company setting (CSV), AllowUsingSharedProduct, are controlled by RamBase personnel.  If you wonder if the solution for shared products can be used by your company, you should therefor contact RamBase servicedesk.
